Ashtorre Rock is the first building in Cornwall SITUATED DIRECTLY UNDER THE BRIDGES) coming over the Tamar bridge or by train over the Brunel Bridge into Saltash. Situated directly under the Brunel bridge and alongside the water front, there is no better place to sit enjoy a coffee or tea and look out over the River Tamar and across to Devon. Ashtorre Rock is a registered charity that was created in 1991. Originally it was a single story community centre then after ten years fund raising a first floor extension was added. From the first floor there is a beautiful balcony and on the ground floor a stunning terrace. The views from here are second to none. All the work, fundraising and the running of Ashtorre Rock has been accomplished totally by volunteers.
The ground floor now acts as a tea room, open to everyone 7 days a week from 10.00am4.00pm.The first floor is used by community groups and clubs. If you wish to hire the first floor for a community group contact us.The tea room is run totally by volunteers. We are always looking for extra helpers. Please contact us if you feel you could spare some time to help out and keep the centre open.
